Biography

Sean Thomas Lobb is a former federal judicial law clerk and an experienced litigator who has successfully litigated numerous cases in state and federal courts across the country. Sean represents Fortune 500 companies and executives as counsel in their most challenging and high-stakes cases and investigations. Sean’s practice focuses on complex business litigation, white collar criminal defense work, and civil and criminal investigations. He advises on all aspects and at all stages of the dispute process, from pre-litigation investigation and post-complaint discovery through trial and appeal.

Before joining Stradling, Sean was an associate at the world’s largest law firm, 大成 Dentons. Before entering private practice, Sean clerked for two federal judges in the United States District Court for the Central District of California. He served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Andrew J. Guilford and the Honorable John D. Early.

Sean is actively involved in the Orange County community. He serves as a member on the Board of Directors for the Orange County Bar Association and the Santa Ana Zoo. He regularly assists with pro bono work at the Federal Pro Se Clinic for the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and he also serves as the YLD Liaison to the Board of Directors for the Federal Bar Association of Orange County.

Sean earned his Juris Doctor from the University of California, Irvine School of Law. While in law school, Sean clerked in the Civil Division of the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of California and in the Criminal Division of the United States Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California. Sean also clerked in the Organized Crime and Gang Section of the United States Department of Justice in Washington, D.C., and he worked in the International Justice Clinic under the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Promotion and Protection of the Right to Freedom of Opinion and Expression.
